Congress extends the 30% Tax Credit for solar for 5 years!

The 30 percent solar tax credit was set to expire next year and will now extend through 2019 before tapering to 10 percent in 2022. FYI, the wind credit had expired at the end of 2014, and the extension will be retroactively applied from the start of 2015 through 2019, declining in value each year. This means that the growth and momentum that the industry has claimed can continue for the foreseeable future. This is a very good thing for the future of renewable energy, the environment, and we will all benefit by cleaner air, water, and land.
